Mirror Glass
Mirror Glass | Custom Mirror Glass for Residential & Commercial Interiors
Mirror glass plays an important role in both residential and commercial interiors, combining functionality with modern design. Whether you're specifying mirrors for bathrooms, wardrobes, retail spaces, hospitality venues, or custom joinery, precision cutting and finishing help ensure the finished result fits the space accurately and delivers the required appearance. Archi Glass supplies precision-cut mirror glass in custom sizes and finishes for homeowners, builders, architects, interior designers, and commercial projects across Australia.
What Is Mirror Glass?
Mirror glass is float glass with a metallic coating - typically silver - applied to one surface and then sealed with protective backing layers to prevent oxidation and physical damage to the reflective coating. The quality and appearance of mirror glass depend on the base glass, reflective coating, and protective backing, all of which contribute to clarity, colour consistency, durability, and long-term performance. Standard mirror glass uses a silver coating over clear float glass. Variations in the base glass - tinted, low-iron, or coloured - produce mirrors with different reflective qualities and colour characteristics. Low-iron glass, for instance, produces a truer, neutral reflection without the faint green cast that standard float glass can introduce. The choice of base glass and backing system depends on the application, the environment, and the aesthetic the project is working toward.
Types of Curved Glass
Mirror Glass
We are your trusted curved glass suppliers near you, offering curved glazing that not only adds aesthetics but also enhances energy efficiency in buildings. Our curved glass panels are perfect for creating captivating facades and reducing solar heat gain.
Double Glazed Glass
When it comes to insulation and noise reduction, curved double glazing is the answer. Our experts create curved double-glazing units where you need rounded or curved surfaces.
Toughened Glass
Safety and durability are paramount in architectural design, and as established curved glass suppliers, we also provide curved toughened glass, offering both strength and elegance. These curved toughened glass panels are ideal for balustrades and staircases.
Laminated Glass
Laminated glass is designed for applications where safety, security, acoustic performance, and structural integrity are essential. By bonding multiple glass panes with specialised interlayers, laminated glass provides enhanced protection while remaining in place if broken.
Annealed Glass
Before glass gets toughened, laminated, bent, or coated, it begins as annealed glass. It is the base material that the entire glazing industry builds from. And while it rarely gets the attention that processed glass types do, specifying it correctly matters more than most people expect
Printed Glass
Printed glass combines the performance of architectural glass with custom graphics, patterns, colours, and decorative finishes. Ideal for commercial, residential, and architectural applications, it allows designers to introduce branding, privacy, and visual impact without compromising the performance of the glazing system.
Security Glass
Security glass is designed to provide enhanced protection against forced entry, impact, and other security risks while maintaining the transparency and appearance of standard glazing.
Acoustic Glass
Acoustic glass is designed to reduce unwanted noise while maintaining the transparency and performance of modern glazing systems.
Mirror Glass Types and Finishes
Archi Glass supplies a range of mirror glass options to suit different architectural and interior applications, including:
Standard silver mirror
clear float glass base with silver coating and protective backing. The most widely used mirror type for residential and commercial interiors
Low-iron mirror
produced on ultra-clear, low-iron base glass for a neutral, colour-accurate reflection. Used in high-specification residential fitouts, retail environments, and anywhere the green tint of standard mirror glass is a design concern
Tinted mirror
bronze, grey, or other tinted base glass beneath the silver coating. Produces a warmer or cooler reflection depending on the tint. Used for decorative panels, feature walls, and hospitality interiors
Safety-backed mirror
a shatter-resistant film applied to the rear of the mirror that holds fragments in place if the glass breaks. Required in some commercial and public-facing installations
Edge finishes
polished, bevelled, flat-polished, or seamed edges depending on whether the mirror is framed, semi-framed, or fully exposed
Selecting the appropriate edge finish helps achieve the desired appearance while ensuring the mirror suits its intended application, whether framed, semi-framed, or exposed.

Custom Sizes and Shapes — Not Just Rectangle Cuts
Archi Glass manufactures custom mirror glass in a wide range of sizes and shapes to suit architectural, commercial, and residential projects. This includes arched mirror panels, circular mirrors cut to exact diameters, mirrors with internal cut-outs for power points or fittings, and shaped panels designed around custom joinery.
Our CNC machining centre allows shaped mirror glass to be produced to your drawings, checked against your specification, and finished to the required edge treatment. Simply provide your drawings or specifications, and our team will manufacture the mirror glass to your requirements.
A Note on Specifying Annealed Glass Correctly
Selecting the correct glass type is an important part of every glazing specification. While annealed glass is suitable for many applications, Australian building standards require safety glass in certain locations. If there is any uncertainty about whether a location requires safety glass, that question belongs at the specification stage, before production, not after installation. The Archi Glass team works with architects, builders, and homeowners at specification stage to confirm the correct glass type for each location in a project. Getting it right before manufacture is always faster and less expensive than correcting it after.
